    Abstract

In this paper, we propose a method to meliorate detection of cracks and dents on the body of automobiles and aircraft using image processing techniques. The proposed method does not use any of the contact hardware like piezoelectric, acoustic resonance. Instead, an array of cameras is used to capture images of a particular plane. The digital images are analyzed and method detects the crack. The method is resilient enough to detect minor cracks and dents which are minuscule enough to escape naked eye. It is extremely important for aircrafts and high-speed cars to maintain high-quality control while in motion to maintain the performance and longevity. This is why it is important to detect crack at early stages when they are little and recuperate them.
